ZITF engage Zimra on foreign exhibitors entry

ZIMBABWE International Trade Fair Company (ZITF) has engaged the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) to ensure that foreign companies exhibiting at this year’s exhibition will have no hassles in bringing their goods into the country, an official has said.

ZITF company alters 2024 theme

THE ZITF Company has altered and expanded the 2024 exhibition theme from “Innovation: The Catalyst for Industrialisation and Trade,” to “Innovation: The Catalyst to Industrialisation and Trade” with organisers saying the new theme recognises that innovation and entrepreneurship are complementary forces that work together to open pathways to economic growth and progress.

Nearly 97% ZITF exhibition space taken

More than 97% of exhibition space at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) has been taken up so far, the ZITF Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nicholas Ndebele has said.

Ndebele also revealed that at least 486 exhibitors have so far confirmed their participation at this year’s trade showcase, which will run from April 23 to 27 under the theme, Entrepreneurship: The Catalyst for Industrialisation and Trade.

More countries expected at this year’s ZITF

The number of countries participating at this year’s Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) is expected to surpass last year’s total of 21 on the back of serious engagements that have been done to promote trade and investment by public and private sector players.

Kenya President To Officially Open 2024 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair

The President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto is set to officially open the 2024 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) scheduled for 23 to 27 April 2024 in Bulawayo.

This was said by Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Jenfan Muswere in a post-Cabinet briefing on Tuesday, March 26.

He said the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu, presented the update on preparations for the 2024 ZITF. Said Muswere:

Preps for Uhuru celebrations, ZITF on track

Preparations for ZITF are on track, with infrastructure refurbishment already underway and expected to be completed by 20 April. The 64th edition of the fair, which will be private sector-led, will run under the theme “Innovation: The Catalyst for Industrialisation and Trade”.
