Sabelo has over 15 years experience in the built environment and has working experience with international construction, occupational health and safety procedures. He has worked on clean energy designs, green eco-friendly designs and innovative contemporary designs. He has also done the breadth and depth of technical documentation and sustainable designs.
Before joining the ZITF Company as Facilities Manager, Sabelo was the Director of Physical Planning Works and Estates at the National University of Science and Technology (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe). It is in this capacity that he oversaw the technical advisory department of the university at a national level.
Sabelo was also the pioneering inception technical leader of the birth of Gwanda State University (GSU). He was also a part of the technical think-tank for the infrastructure committee and Venue Manager during the AUSC Region 5 Zone 6 games hosted by Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
Sabelo holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree (RIBA Accredited), a Bachelor of Architectural Studies with Honors (RIBA Accredited) and a Master of Architecture degree (RIBA Accredited) from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. He is also a RIBA part two professional who has worked for several architectural practices in Johannesburg and Cape Town respectively. He further holds a certificate of merit for the theory and practice of construction from Wits University.
He also holds a certificate of excellence for the pioneering national first prize for the best in innovative design of social housing from the Social Housing Institute Focus Trust (SHIFT) in South Africa.
